Russell Biomass takes the idea of thinking globally and acting locally to its highest level. Our renewable energy power plant is part of the solution to global problems created by the demand for and use of fossil fuels, but it also addresses regional and local issues, providing the region with electricity to meet an ever-growing demand and bringing tax revenues to a local community and jobs to a local economy, both of which have been hit hard by the  closing of paper mills over the past 15 years.
